Who we are

Mi Pueblo Panadería ("we," "us," or "our") is a family-owned bakery located at 5779 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43229. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and place online orders for pickup, and what we do with it.

Information you give us

When you place an order or request a quote, we collect the name, phone number, and, if you provide it, the email address you enter, along with the details of your order or request (items, quantities, pickup time, cake or catering details, and any notes).

We use this information to prepare your order, contact you about it, and respond to quote requests.

Payment information

Online card payments are processed by Square. Your full card number is entered directly into Square's secure payment fields and is sent to Square, not to us. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date, or security code. Square may share limited information back with us, such as the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the payment succeeded.

Square handles card data as a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Its handling of your payment information is governed by Square's own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host may record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.

Your shopping cart is stored in your own browser's local storage so it is still there if you come back. It stays on your device and is not an account.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the bakery's website and orders: Square (payments and order records), Resend (order and quote emails), Convex (secure order database), Vercel (website hosting), and Google Maps (the map shown on our site). Each processes your information only to provide its service to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our customers or our business.

How long we keep it

We keep order and quote records for as long as needed to run the business and meet tax and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hola@mipueblopanaderia.com or calling (614) 392-0891. If you email us an order confirmation, please do not include your full card number; we do not need it and cannot use it.

Children

Our website is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and keeping payment card handling with Square. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
